Recipe: Extra Virgin Olive Oil Crackers

I like a good, crispy cracker. And I like the idea of a fine cracker made from extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). So I was particularly intrigued when I came across a delicious looking recipe for olive oil crackers on a terrific food blog, 101 Cookbooks. The blog is loaded with excellent recipes and stunning photos.

Heidi Swanson is the San Francisco-based photographer, cookbook author and designer who created 101 Cookbooks – and this cracker recipe. She says the crackers would go well with artichoke dip or hummus. Heidi also says they’d be good crumbled over a Caesar salad. That said, these crackers look like they’d be good with just about anything – or are on their own.

I hope you enjoy them. Also, feel free to check out a delicious recipe for Roman-style artichokes on our chefs blog from award-winning chef Paul Bartolotta. He was just named top regional chef at Monday’s James Beard Foundation awards.

Bon appétit,
